Paul Broadfoot brings extensive experience from a corporate career with large multinational “Business to Business” corporations including Akzo Nobel, Ingredion, and ICI. He spent seven years in Asia Pacific, holding Head of Strategy and Director roles based in Bangkok and Singapore, where he oversaw high-growth business units ranging from emerging opportunities to divisions generating hundreds of millions in revenue across diverse industries including food, chemicals, pulp & paper, and medical components.

A recognized strategy expert and author, Paul is the creator of Xcelerate, a groundbreaking book demonstrating how disruption can be achieved through business model innovation. Xcelerate draws on research analysing the longevity of over 5,000 Australian ASX 200-listed companies over the past 40 years, offering unique insights from an Australian perspective.

Since transitioning from his corporate career in 2012, Paul has owned and led three management consulting businesses specializing in company turnarounds, growth strategies, business transformations, and financial performance improvement. He’s facilitated strategy workshops for hundreds of CEOs, Board members, and Leadership Teams. Currently, as CEO of Maverick Bio, Paul applies his expertise to driving research and innovation in biomaterials for the regenerative medicine and tissue engineering sectors – helping to save and improve lives.

Paul’s passion is helping organizations achieve superior performance, accelerated growth, and enhanced value – particularly crucial in a rapidly evolving landscape shaped by climate change, technological advancements, and economic shifts. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago (achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA), a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
